Iran, Crosetto: “US attack completely changes the scenario”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “We have been following since yesterday evening, because some movements of American aircraft had given us reasonable certainty that an attack could be launched. Last night it happened, it was clear that the Fordow nuclear site was Israel's main point of interest, because it is the center of the Iranian nuclear program. Israel did not have the capacity to significantly hit this site, located under 90 meters of rock: this is why American B2 bombers intervened during the night, which have the highest underground penetration capacity in the world”. This was stated by the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, to the special edition of Tg1. "We had already seen the movements of these bombers in the previous days, so the news did not take us by surprise. This completely changes the scenario, a much bigger crisis opens up, a much stronger response from Iran also opens up that will not only concern Israel but risks extending to all American targets, which are aware of it", he added. As for Italy, "we have already started the day before yesterday to take protective measures to secure the Italian contingents that are not involved and are not even a target in the Iranian response.
